The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities is often referred to as the Cairo Museum or Egyptian Museum. The museum first opened its doors in its current Tahrir Square location in downtown Cairo in 1902, but its history dates back to the early 1800s. The museum is currently home to the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities.

Not near enough time at the Egyptian Museum, but still glad that we got to experience it. Probably our two favorite exhibits (of those that we saw) were the replica of the Rosetta Stone and the coffins and mummies of the great grandparents of King Tut.
