Between the cities of Luxor and Aswan, Nile River Cruises are a comfortable way for travelers to explore thousands of years of ancient Egyptian history. Whether choosing the route starting in the north or the south, the Egyptian historical sites visited are nearly identical. The M/S Esmeralda offers spacious cabins and shared public amenities including three buffet meals daily, an upper outside deck with a swimming pool and a public lounge with evening entertainment.

The M/S Esmeralda was not the river boat that we expected to board, but nevertheless we enjoyed our "home" for four nights as we sailed from Luxor to Aswan on the Nile River. They even surprised Scott with a birthday cake on the night of our embarkation!
Travel isn't always pretty. It isn't always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that's okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind. - Anthony Bourdain
