Flying in first or business class is a luxury that some people choose to pay for, others earn through frequent flyer programs and most never experience. Especially on cross-country and international flights, having a wider and/or lie flat seat, more legroom and sometimes a meal or adult beverages can really enhance a flight. Depending on the airline, in addition to seat upgrades, loyalty benefits may include free checked baggage, priority check-in or priority for standby flights.

What benefit do you enjoy the most from a current or former job?

One nice lingering benefit from my years of flying for work is lifetime status on American Airlines. Although it doesn't happen all of the time, we love the perk of being upgraded to business or first class. Since we had a sandwich at the airport during our layover, this fruit and cheese plate hit the spot for an evening snack!
