Snorkeling at Hideaway Island on Vanuatu

Our driver, Opie, dropped us off at a ferry stop for a short ride to Hideaway Island. Once we docked, we walked a short distance across a small bridge and found a perfect shaded beach with lounge chairs. The calm water was just a few steps from our chairs. We couldn't pass up on an opportunity to snorkel, and we are so glad that we got in the water. We saw awesome sea life including an amazing blue starfish! There's even an underwater post office where you can actually mail postcards (written with a wax pen) to your friends back home.

What is the most interesting sea life that you have ever seen?

We had a wonderful day relaxing at Hideaway Island, one of the islands in the Vanuatu island chain. Just off of the beach area, there was a perfect spot for snorkeling. The fish were plentiful and there was a wide variety. We had never before seen a blue starfish, so getting in the water was definitely worth it! Although not "life", another interesting thing that we saw underwater was a post office!
