Make Your Way to Hideaway Island on a Taxi Tour

Vanuatu | Port Vila | Hideaway Island | Taxi Tour | Mele Cascades Waterfall | Scenic Overlook | Snorkeling
We enjoyed another successful day going off on our own! After docking at Port Vila, Vanuatu, we took a water taxi to "the city" where we met Opie, a taxi driver. We had a wonderful day starting with a private swim at the base of the Mele Cascades Waterfall. Opie then dropped us off near the dock where we took another ferry to Hideaway Island for some snorkeling and relaxing. Before taking us back to the port, we made a stop at this scenic overlook for an awesome view of the ship and some of the other 82 islands that comprise Vanuatu.

Are you a cruiser who misses being able to cruise?
We were supposed to depart on a Royal Caribbean cruise today, so I am reminiscing about one of our first cruises on RCL. After embarking in Sydney, Australia, we departed for some of the islands in the South Pacific. One of our most memorable days on the sailing was the day we spent exploring one of the islands of Vanuata. Between ferries and taxis, we had time to relax, soak in some sunshine and even swim with the colorful sea life!
Do you have any future cruises planned?
