Although the Florida cities of Fort Lauderdale and Miami may have more recognizable names, the city of Hollywood should not be overlooked. Just like at the beaches within the other two major cities, Hollywood Beach goers enjoy golden sand and waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Additionally, the almost 2 1/2 mile long promenade known as the "Broadwalk" is a favorite among both visitors and locals. With the beach on one side and lodging, restaurants, retail and bars plus live music and other attractions (including Christmas lights in December) on the other, you'll find plenty of walkers, joggers, cyclists (2, 3 and 4 wheeled) and rollerbladers on the cement path.
