Shop in the Navajo Nation's Oldest Trading Post

For nearly 150 years, the Hubbell Trading Post in northeastern Arizona has been "trading" with members of the Navajo Nation. The doors of the trading post opened back in 1878, making it the longest in operation on Navajo lands. In addition to the historical significance of the mercantile, there's a wide variety of in stock merchandise available for anyone to purchase. Whether it's necessities like food or pharmaceuticals or decor items for your home (or body), you'll find it at the Hubbell Trading Post.

Do you "collect" stamps in any of the National Park Service passports?

Not long before reaching New Mexico, we saw the brown National Park Service sign "advertising" the Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site. With my NPS passport book in hand, we took the opportunity to get another stamp. We didn't know anything about the trading post before visiting, so our history lesson was quite interesting. Oh, and there was lots of merchandise to choose from - both fun and necessary.

How's your progress going with filling up your NPS passport?
