Rainy Day at Argentina's Iguazu Falls

The famous Iguazu Falls are located in national parks in both Argentina and Brazil. Argentina's Puerto Iguazu has been a national park since 1934 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. The waterfalls are so expansive that both the sound and beautiful landscape leave a lasting impression on all visitors!

How far will you travel to see a waterfall?

We love waterfalls - hiking to them, seeing them on the side of the road, flying somewhere to see a waterfall - whatever! (We even got married in Niagara Falls, Canada.)

The furthest that we have traveled to see a waterfall has been our trip to South America. We spent one day each in Brazil and Argentina at the two national parks that showcase Iguaza Falls.

We planned to visit Victoria Falls in 2020, and then postponed our trip until 2021 and now we've postponed it again until 2022. Hopefully we'll get there next year.

Fun fact: It has been reported that Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Poor Niagara" when she saw Iguazu Falls!
