No visit to Lake Como is complete without spending time on the lake! Getting around on the water is possible by public or private boat / ferry. If you are staying in Como City, the largest of the lakeside cities, you'll want to make it to the "mid-lake" towns. There's several stops on the public ferry that are close together making it relatively easy to visit a few of them in one day - even if starting and ending in Como City. It does take planning and sticking to a timeline, but Como to Menaggio, Varenna, Bellagio and back to Como is one possibility!
