Driving along the southwest coast of Maui, we have stopped several times at what is called "Big Beach". It has great parking and a large sandy area where you have a great view of the blue blue water. There is shade along the back area, lifeguards and even food trucks. (As you might expect, there is another beach nearby that is called "Little Beach"!)

Do you have a favorite beach in Hawaii?
Between all of the islands in the Hawaiian chain, it is really hard for us to choose. Of course it depends on where we are, but also what we want to do. Sometimes a more secluded beach is nice, but at other times we love to people watch. And then, there's beaches that are better for snorkeling ... So many choices! We did enjoy spending time at "Big Beach" - especially with the folding chairs courtesy of our Airbnb!
