The Best of the Recent "Top Pocket Finds" on Oak Island

During our self-guided tour of the Oak Island Interpretive Center, we got a chance to view first hand the now famous Lead Templar Cross. The cross was found in the mud in Smith's Cove on Oak Island. It has been dated back to the medieval period in France. Thinking about this recent find is just truly amazing!

Social Media Description

Are you familiar with the term "top pocket find"?

The phrase is used on the TV series "The Curse of Oak Island" whenever a really cool artifact is found. The artifact is placed, you guessed it, in the top shirt pocket for safekeeping!

Since the Oak Island Interpretive Center is quite small, it was easy to look at and read about each of the artifacts on display. Looking at every item was a big change for us as we aren't usually the biggest fans of museums. Since Scott loves the series, it was easy for him as he remembered seeing many of the artifacts while watching the TV show. The most amazing "top pocket find" was this famous lead Templar Cross.

What's your most recent "top pocket find"?
