The southern coast of Alabama stretches for 32 miles. With powdery white sand, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are two of the state's most popular beach destinations. Although a stroll on the sand with the water by your side is great fun at any time of the day, it's especially fun as evening approaches. It's the perfect time to see the many sand structures created during the day!

What are your "must haves" for a day at the beach?

Since we usually spend our time people watching, walking or enjoying the water, we are pretty simple. Just a couple of chairs and a full container of a refreshing drink (and if the sun is shining, an umbrella) put smiles on our face. As we look around, we see people with lots of other beach supplies in their beach wagons. They are the people that make the sand castles that we love seeing when we take a walk in the sand!
