Italy | Rome | Vatican City | St. Peter's Square | Roman Catholic Church | Papal Audience | Pope | Pope Leo | Blessing
It's not often that the general public has an opportunity to attend an event that is led by the Pope. Every Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM, Pope Leo addresses a crowd of visitors in what is called a "papal audience". Tickets to the weekly events are free (and may be required), and seating at the gatherings is first-come, first-served. Because the number of people who have an interest in attending is usually large, when the weather cooperates, the weekly gatherings most often take place in St. Peter's Square.

Everything that we read indicated that tickets were required for the Papal Audience. We requested them online but never received a response. We decided to try our luck, and fortunately we never saw anyone asking for tickets!
