Explore the Park Palaces Surrounding Nymphenburg Castle
Visiting the park palaces located on the grounds surrounding Munich's Nymphenburg Castle requires a stroll through the park. (It's a great way to meet, at least a part of, your daily step goal!) The Pagodenburg palace was Asian-themed (Chinese) and Amalienburg palace was used as a hunting lodge. Don't miss the indoor swimming pool in the Badenburg pavilion (reminiscent of the Roman Baths of yesteryear) or the quirky chapel in the Magdalenenklause.

One of my favorite experiences during our tour of the Nymphenburg Castle complex was our long walk through the surrounding grounds. We visited the park palaces that were open to guests - each of them truly unique in their own way.
If you're twenty-two, physically fit, hungry to learn and be better, I urge you to travel - as far and as widely as possible. Sleep on floors if you have to. Find out how other people live and eat and cook. Learn from them - wherever you go. - Anthony Bourdain
