Located on Bologna's Guardia Hill (Colle della Guardia) is one of the city's must see sights. The Sanctuary of the Madonna of San Luca has long been a destination for religious pilgrimages and since 2021 has been on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is believed that two separate miracles occurred because of the Madonna that is found inside the basilica.
