It's our second time on a cruise where we had a day in the port city in the past 6 years. Rather than take a cruise ship tour, we spent the day exploring on our own. After walking off of the ship, we first strolled the downtown streets checking out the shops and historical buildings. We then walked to the beach where we spent most of our time - both in the water and relaxing on the sand. Before leaving, we couldn't pass up sipping on a guavaberry colada, the drink that the island is known for.
