The largest amphitheater in the world was completed in Rome around the year 80 AD. Known today as "The Colosseum" or "Roman Colosseum", it was originally named the "Flavian Amphitheater". Up to 80,000 spectators could enter the amphitheater through one of the 80 numbered entrances to see a performance. (Four of the entrances were used for VIPs, and the remaining 76 were for everyone else.)

Social Media Description
No guided tour of the Roman Colosseum this time - just explored on our own since we did a guided tour including the underground during a previous trip!
And if travel is like love, it is, in the end, mostly because it's a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, undimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end. - Pico Iyer
