Royal Caribbean | Star of the Seas | Icon Class | Neighborhoods | Surfside | Thrill Island | Chill Island | The Hideaway | AquaDome | Central Park | Royal Promenade
There are eight unique neighborhoods on Royal Caribbean's Star of the Seas cruise ship. The AquaDome (decks 15 and 16) is the glass-domed venue that includes the AquaTheater. The Royal Promenade (decks 5 and 6) is a hub for entertainment including live music, parties and parades and also home to shops, restaurants and bars. Surfside (deck 7) is dedicated to young families. Deck 8's Central Park is an open-air "park" filled with live plants and trees and also home to several upscale specialty restaurants. Thrill Island (deck 16) is where adventure seekers enjoy the largest waterpark at sea. The Hideaway is an adults only pool area on deck 15 complete with hot tubs and an infinity pool. Chill Island comprises three decks (15, 16 & 17) filled with loungers, swimming pools, hot tubs and bars. Finally, the Suite Neighborhood is exclusively for "VIP" guests staying in suites and includes private amenities.

We only got to see seven of the eight unique neighborhoods on Royal Caribbean's Star of the Seas. Maybe next time we'll stay in a suite so we can see the "Suite Neighborhood".
