Greetings from the Grand Princess docked at the Port of Papeete!
When port visits extend into the evening hours, special shows produced by local groups are often offered for passengers. At Papeete, Tahiti's largest port, it's common for Tahitians to board the ship for a live performance. "Tahitian Cultural Expressions" included the island's traditional dance, 'ōte'a - notice how this performer's hips shake to the beat of the drums!

"Tahitian Cultural Expressions" was the show's name - and what a fabulous dance performance by local Tahitians. Her hip movement is truly amazing!
Fun fact: Dances performed by both Hawaiians and Tahitians tell stories - the difference is how they do it. Hawaiians incorporate arm movements and gestures while there is more hip movement in Tahitian dance.
