Oklahoma | Sapulpa | Tulsa | Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum | Car Museum | World's Tallest Gas Pump | Roadside Attraction | Road Trip
The Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum located in Sapulpa, Oklahoma (a suburb of Tulsa) is also the home of a quirky roadside attraction. Standing very tall in front of the museum is the World's Tallest Gas Pump - and tall it is! It is said that original plans for the pump were to include an observation deck. Due to ADA and safety codes, those plans were scrapped - but it's still a fun photo opportunity!

What was the last roadside attraction that you stopped at?
And we're off again - this time to spend a little time with Scott's family. We deviated from our normal route between Texas and Missouri so that we could stop for a few photos along the way. Our first stop was at the Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum in a suburb of Tulsa. Standing in front of the museum is what is advertised as the World's Tallest Gas Pump!
Do you ever alter your driving route to see a roadside attraction?
