Even on a Rainy Day You Can See Why People Love Waipu!

With about 13 miles of beach, Bream Bay is home to the small coastal communities of Waipu, Waipu Cove and others. Only two hours away from Auckland, the area is most famous for fishing, swimming and surfing off of the sandy shoreline. Known for its Scottish heritage, Waipu is the biggest of the surrounding towns. In addition to water sports, the area is home to glowworm caves and waterfalls.

Social Media Description

We adjusted our route on our last day road tripping on New Zealand's North Island due to road closures. Even in the pouring down rain, we got to see areas that we would love to return to like Bream Bay and the beaches at Waipu and Waipu Cove.
