What do you look for in a tour guide?
While planning for our 6 week visit to parts of Oceania in 2016, I searched for private guides in the ports that we didn't want to explore on our own. Our cruise ship was docking in Lautoka, Fiji, and my various online queries led me to Ryan Kafoa of ToursByLocalsFiji. He gave us several options, his prices were fair and the reviews that I read about him were all awesome. We had been communicating for almost 8 months, so we were eager to spend the day with him!
Just as planned, he met us at the cruise port and we began our journey to the Coral Coast. During our drive to Biausevu Village Waterfall, we realized what a great sense of humor he had as well as how knowledgeable Ryan was about the island. Highlights of our visit were our horseback ride to the waterfall and our wonderful lunch with a view!
