Stand Eye to Eye (or Body) with a Dinosaur in the Woods

The woods surrounding Barber Marina are home to four "Dinosaurs in the Woods". A Stegosaurus and Triceratops are fairly close to the road and therefore not too difficult to spot. Still on the same side of the main road is a Tyrannosaurus rex, but finding the fourth dinosaur in the family requires crossing over to the opposite side of the main road. Much like the T-rex, finding the Brontosaurus also requires a walk into the woods.

While we were at Alabama's Barber Marina, we were also successful at finding the last of the four "Dinosaurs in the Woods" - the Brontosaurus! The good news is that, even though our search for all four of these extinct creatures took two visits, there was no cost for the dinosaur adventures - other than our time!
