California | Mineral | Lassen Volcanic National Park | Scenic Drive | Hiking | Sulphur Works | Emerald Lake | Bumpass Hell | Lake Helen | Lassen Peak | Kings Creek Falls
Lassen Volcanic National Park has two main entrances that are connected by a 30 mile long scenic byway. Visitors to the park can enter at either the northwest or southwest entrance and drive for about one hour (without stops) to the opposite side of the park. Between the two exits are a number of points of interests (as well as hikes) which can significantly increase the drive time. Nearest the southwest entrance you'll find the Sulphur Works Hydrothermal Area, Diamond Peak, Emerald Lake, Bumpass Hell Trail, Lake Helen and Lassen Peak.

Social Media Description
After purchasing a lifetime Senior National Parks Pass, we spent Day 2 of our journey exploring Lassen Volcanic National Park. Starting from the park's southwest entrance, we drove the southern part of the scenic highway. In addition to stopping at most of the recommended viewpoints along the way, we completed both the Bumpass Hell and Kings Creek Falls hikes.
