Oregon | Crater Lake National Park | Umpqua National Forest | Umpqua Hot Springs | Thermal Waters | Idleyld Park | Umpqua's Last Resort | Cascade Mountains | Hiking
With Crater Lake National Park and Umpqua National Forest being adjacent to each other, it's easy to plan a day which includes both. Start your day at Crater Lake National Park driving the rim loop around the blue caldera lake. Stop to enjoy the beauty of the lake and pick a hike or two to get some exercise. Afterwards, make your way to Umpqua Hot Springs inside the National Forest. Although the hike to the springs is short but not easy, it's worth the effort to relax in thermal waters to wrap up your day.

Social Media Description
We made an encore visit to Crater Lake National Park on Day 5 of our journey. (It's the only National Park that we'll be making a return visit to during this trip.) After a couple of hikes, some scenic views and a Ranger talk, we left for a late lunch followed by the uphill hike and soaking in the thermal waters at Umpqua Hot Springs.
