Munich's Englischer Garten (English Garden) is the world's largest inner city park (more spacious than New York's Central Park). Dating back to 1792, the area has been a public park for the residents and visitors to Germany's third largest city since it's opening. The English Garden is home to green spaces, walking paths, rivers, lakes, an observatory, beer gardens, a Japanese tea house, a Chinese Pagoda and so much more.

We wrapped up our first day in Munich wandering through the English Garden. We needed much more time to really explore the huge park ... but we did get to see the Chinesischer Turm (pagoda) and watch surfers on the Eisbach River!
