Since the year 2000, the Melk Abbey Park has been open for visiting during the months of April through October. Combination tickets for the park and abbey are available as well as park only tickets. It was in the 1990s that changes within the park were made that gave it the character that you'll see today including new areas, a pavilion and gardens as well as rotating sculpture exhibits.
