Washington | Kalaloch | Olympic National Park | Olympic Coast | Ruby Beach | Hiking | Driftwood | Skipping Rocks | Sea Stacks
Getting to the shoreline at Ruby Beach requires hiking down a somewhat steep path from the parking area atop the bluff. (And, of course, that means hiking back up when you leave!) Your reward for the short hike is the unique scenery including a coastline filled with multicolored pebbles and piles and piles of driftwood logs. As you look out into the water, you'll also see a number of sea stacks!

Ruby Beach, inside the third national park of our trip (Olympic), came highly recommended due to its unique scenery - piles of driftwood logs, sea stacks and a shoreline filled with smooth stones that were perfect for skipping!
