Royal Caribbean | Star of the Seas | Eastern Caribbean | Labadee | Haiti | Charlotte Amalie | USVI | Philipsburg | St. Maarten | Perfect Day at CocoCay | Bahamas
Nearly every Star of the Seas sailing has a port day at Perfect Day at CocoCay. That is, every sailing except for those during the first full week in May of each year. It is during that week that the island destination in the Bahamas is closed for annual maintenance. Royal Caribbean strives to keep this destination in award winning shape, and one way of doing so is to anticipate and prevent problems before they occur.

We chose our early May Star of the Seas cruise for two reasons: to sail on the newest (& biggest) Royal Caribbean ship and for port days in Labadee and San Juan. Both of those port days were cancelled / replaced, but we still enjoyed our cruise!
Travel isn't always pretty. It isn't always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that's okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind. - Anthony Bourdain
