During our 2014 Rhine River cruise, we had an evening on our own in this German city. We knew that we were in for a treat when our evening started with this great view of the Rhine River from the city.
After admiring the sunset, we explored the city's downtown area and found a great little restaurant to try out some schnitzel. Next up was gawking at the glockenspiel clock in the Marienplatz. We loved both watching the animatronic clock and listening to the clock's beautiful bells before we had to return to our boat.
